Terms of Service

> NOTICE: By accessing WriteNor (also searched as "Write Nor"), downloading the demo, or interacting with any related services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, discontinue use immediately.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of WriteNor (the "Game"), developed and published by Terawww Interactive ("we," "us," "our"). By playing the Game, visiting our website, or using any associated services, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Description of Service

WriteNor is a psychological meta-horror coding simulator designed for PC platforms. The Game includes:

  • A free demo version available on Itch.io
  • A full version available for wishlist and future purchase on Steam
  • Associated community platforms (Discord, YouTube, Wiki)

3. License Grant

3.1 Personal Use License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and play WriteNor for personal, non-commercial purposes.

3.2 Restrictions

You may NOT:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Game
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
  • Distribute, sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the Game
  • Use the Game for commercial purposes without written permission
  • Create derivative works based on the Game (except fan content under Section 8)
  • Use cheats, exploits, or unauthorized third-party software that modifies the Game

4. Intellectual Property

All content in WriteNor—including but not limited to code, graphics, audio, storyline, characters (including NORI), and design—is owned by Terawww Interactive and protected by international copyright laws.

The names "WriteNor," "Write Nor," and "NORI" are trademarks of Terawww Interactive.

5. User Conduct

When using the Game or community platforms, you agree to:

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Respect other users and refrain from harassment, hate speech, or abusive behavior
  • Not upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Not impersonate Terawww Interactive or its representatives
> META-NARRATIVE CLAUSE: WriteNor is a meta-horror experience. Certain in-game events may reference real-world elements (such as file names, player actions, or system behaviors) as part of the artistic design. This is fiction. The Game does not access personal data beyond what is disclosed in our Privacy Policy.

6. Content Creation & Streaming

6.1 Monetization Allowed

You MAY create videos, streams, screenshots, or other content featuring WriteNor and monetize such content (e.g., YouTube ads, Twitch subscriptions) under the following conditions:

6.2 Spoiler Policy

WriteNor contains narrative secrets and meta-horror elements designed to surprise players. We request (but do not require) that content creators:

  • Mark major story spoilers in video titles/thumbnails
  • Avoid revealing the final 30% of the Game in public content within the first 30 days of release

7. Age Restrictions

WriteNor is intended for players aged 13 and above. The Game contains:

  • Psychological horror themes
  • Mild visual distortion and unsettling imagery
  • No graphic violence, sexual content, or excessive profanity

Parents/guardians should review the Game before allowing minors to play.

8. Fan Content & Modifications

8.1 Fan Art, Fiction, and Mods

We encourage fan-created content (art, stories, mods) under these conditions:

  • Do not sell fan content without permission (donations/tips are acceptable)
  • Credit Terawww Interactive and link to the official game
  • Do not create content that is defamatory, obscene, or infringes on third-party rights

8.2 Mods & Tools

Modding is permitted for personal use. Distribution of mods must not:

  • Include the Game's executable or proprietary assets
  • Violate platform terms (Steam Workshop, etc.)
  • Introduce malware or harmful code

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

WriteNor is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Compatibility with all hardware/software configurations
  • That the Game will meet your expectations

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Terawww Interactive shall not be liable for:

  • Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Game
  • Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
  • Damages resulting from bugs, glitches, or server downtime

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Game at any time, without notice, for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Cheating, hacking, or exploiting the Game
  • Abusive behavior toward other users or developers
